If you can’t find an answer here, get in touch to see how we can help.

Are your incursions shows?

Our incursions are interactive learning experiences, not shows or performances.

Are your incursions linked to the curriculum?

Yes! You can find curriculum links on each incursion page.

How long does each session go for?

Most of our incursions last for 80 to 90 minutes. Parliament Day is a full day program.

How many sessions can you run in one day?

We can run a maximum of three 90-minute sessions each day.

We don’t have three 90-minute blocks. Can we still have three sessions?

Yes! We can work around your bell times. Get in touch to discuss the best approach for your school.

How many students can participate in each session?

We have a maximum of 35 students (approximately) per session to ensure your students get the most out of the incursion. We recommend having smaller group sizes for younger year levels.

What size and type of space do you require in which to run your incursions?

Each incursion has different space requirements. You can see these on our incursion pages. Generally speaking, we ideally need a large open space around the size of a double classroom. Full STEAM Ahead and Code Masters require a larger space, such as a small hall or large multipurpose room, and Full STEAM Ahead requires an area free of carpet.

Can you change rooms for each session?

We will need to be in one location each day as set up and pack up takes time.

Can you run an incursion in a classroom?

For some of our incursions, yes, as long as furniture is pushed to the side. However, a larger space is preferred so that students get the most out of the incursion. Please ask us before booking if you are unsure.

Do students need to bring anything with them to the incursion?

Just themselves! We bring along kits full of all the resources we’ll need.

Do we at school need to provide anything else?

We will require one chair per student and access to a digital screen to plug a laptop into for our Parliament Process, Parliament Experts, Democracy, Community and Me, and Parliament Day incursion presentations.

For the above incursions as well as Market Manoeuvres, we will use 4 or 5 rectangular tables if you have them easily accessible in the space. We bring our own if not.

What time will you arrive?

We will arrive at your school office 45 to 60 minutes before the scheduled first session start time to sign in and begin setting up.

What should teachers do during the incursion?

We encourage teachers and school staff to join in the fun! Supervision of students is essential.

Do you provide follow-up resources?

Yes! We provide you with follow-up resources the week before our visit to help you plan for after the incursion.

How much does an incursion cost?

Costs of our programs can be found on each incursion page, as well as our pricing page.

Is there a travel cost?

Locations further than 50 km from the Melbourne CBD may incur a travel charge. Get in touch to find out whether this is needed for your school.

Do we need to pay a deposit? When do you send the invoice?

We do not ask for a deposit. The full amount will be invoiced after our visit.

Do your instructors have Working With Children Checks?

Yes, or VIT registration. We will present these upon arrival at your school.

Do you have all the relevant documents?

Yes! We have public liability insurance, risk assessments, child safe policies and work cover for our instructors. Let us know if you require these and we can send them out to you.
