Virtual Democracy, Community and Me

Virtually bring democracy to life in your classroom in our live and interactive incursion!

Students explore the fundamentals of democracy and government in Australia. They examine the difference between rules and laws and how the processes of local government support a community for everyone.

Students participate in a mock-election to the local government while learning about preferential voting and absolute majorities.

Following on from the virtual incursion, Linked Incursions provides you with the necessary tools to run a successful local government meeting and debate in your own classroom.

Suitable for Year 3 and Year 4. View curriculum links here.

We recommend that students in Year 5 and Year 6 participate in our Virtual Parliament Process incursion.
